Adam Keen
Adam has been practising yoga since 1999 and teaching Ashtanga since 2004. He ran a busy Mysore programme in the City of London for over 10 years and has taught extensively internationally.
He is one of the very few practitioners anywhere to have completed the Advanced A series in Mysore under the guidance of Sharathji and received level 2 authorisation in 2012.
As a manager at Purple Valley Goa from 2007, he met and practised with many of the original Mysore teachers and gained a wide view of the history of the practice.
Adam's teaching style is framed in inclusivity, compassion, and lucid, explicit, practical instruction. Alongside this, he shares his interest in deeper inquiry about the fundamental questions of life – what we’re doing and why we’re here.
He is the host of the Keen on Yoga Podcast and YouTube channel. Outside the sphere of yoga, Adam continuously shares his thoughts and ideas on social media and enjoys spending time in the kitchen.

Theresa Keen
Theresa discovered Ashtanga Yoga in 1999 and in 2004 she booked a retreat at the newly opened Purple Valley Goa to celebrate turning 40. Hearing it was for sale, she introduced it to her friend Hernan Cortes who has been the owner and supporter of yoga ever since.
As Director for three years she transformed the retreat into the Ashtanga only centre it is now renowned for and had the honour of hosting and getting to know Sharath Jois, as well as many of the original teachers, Nancy Gilgoff, David Swenson, Rolf, Chuck & Maty, Tim Miller, John Scott, Manju Jois and more.
Here she met Adam and laterly spent many months in Mysore at KPJAYI with Sharath. In 2012 she received level 1 authorisation to teach, however, feels her dharma is to facilitate bringing yoga to others and prefers to work behind the scenes. Her daily practise of over 10 years was interrupted with a breast cancer diagnosis subsequent treatments. She continues now in a more subtle way.
