Our Commitments for your Data

On May 25, 2018, a new European regulation became active regarding the protection of personal data (GDPR). Its objective is simple, to allow you to better control the use which is made of your personal data on the various sites and online services that you use. At Keen on Yoga we affirm our absolute priority of guaranteeing the security, protection and fair use of your personal data.

We only ask you for the necessary data

Only data allowing us to manage all aspects of your order are requested (basket, payment, order preparation, delivery, advice or requests for information and advice on your order). 

When do we collect your personal data?

When you create an account with us, redeem a gift card with us, engage with us on social media or when you choose to complete any feedback requests or surveys we send you

Relevant communication

No spam from Keen on Yoga, you will only receive our newsletters if you have subscribed to them. All other communications by email or SMS that we send you are linked to your customer account and your orders or in response to your requests. information / advice / complaint to Customer Service.

You have control over your data

You will find all the personal data we have in your customer account. You can view and modify it at any time. You can request the deletion of your data (apart from those that we must legally keep such as invoices, payment confirmations, etc.) via our dedicated contact form

How Does Keen on Yoga Use Your Data?

Your purchases on the Keen on Yoga Website

Your data: last name, first name, email address, billing and delivery address, telephone number

Their use: this information allows us to provide you with your Zoom link, allows our customer service to help you find your account and to take payment and create invoices for your order, membership or subscription.

Retention period: Data concerning orders are kept for 10 years. The data concerning the baskets are kept for 3 months, the data sent to our service providers for delivery are kept for 12 months.

Newsletters & Communications

Your data: your consent to receive commercial communications by email and SMS, your first and last names, email address, mobile number, billing and delivery address, order content

Their use: Inform you of promotions, updates to your services, reminders only after having obtained your agreement to receive these newsletters.

Retention period: We retain this data for 7 years

Third party services and how we share your data

We subcontract to third parties to provide services to you on our behalf. In some cases, the third parties may require access to some or all of your data. Where any of your data is required for such a purpose, we will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your data will be handled safely, securely, and in accordance with your rights, our obligations, and the obligations of the third party under the law. 

We use the following third party data processors who are based outside the EU, but who are protected by the Privacy Shield, which allows them to store EU data on US soil with the GDPR.

Ribbon Experiences, USA – we use Ribbon Experiences for web scheduling, registration, order processing, sending of Zoom links and online payments. Some transactions on the Ribbon platform may involve payment by credit card, debit card, and/or third party online payment services. In such transactions, Ribbon will collect information related to the transaction as it relates to verifying and providing access to your content, including only the following when relevant: Card type, last 4 digits of the card, card expiration date, e-mail address (in the event of payment via PayPal), date of transaction, amount of transaction, and origin of the transaction (ie. via the web platform or in-app purchase). Other information collected during the transaction will remain with and secured by the payment processing company (ie. Stripe, Authorize.net, PayPal, Apple Pay, etc). Ribbon will keep your data for up to 30 days after your account is deleted. After those 30 days, all of your data will be fully removed from our system. All data is stored in the United States.

Zoom – We us Zoom for all our live online streamed classes, workshops, courses and events. You will automatically receive a unique link to join. MailChimp – We use MailChimp to send newsletters and communications emails and store your sign-up/opt-in data. Your data is stored safely and securely and will not be shared with any third party directly from MailChimp. Your data is not bought or sold

We do not practice any purchase of personal data from outside. We collect your personal data ourselves, in a transparent manner, during key moments in our relationship with you (creating an account, placing an order, requesting information or advice, etc.) We undertake to never disclose, sell or transfer your personal data to any third party. The subcontractors that we employ may be required to process part of this data but they do so on behalf of Keen on Yoga, in accordance with our instructions and with an absolute confidentiality obligation.

Privacy  Regarding Children under the age of 18

We do not offer services to those under the age of 18 and do not knowingly collect personal, identifiable data on anyone under the age of 18.

Changes to This Privacy Statement

We may update this Privacy Statement periodically to account for changes in our collection and/or processing of personal data and will post the updated Privacy Statement on our website, with a “Last Updated” date at the top. If we make material changes to this Privacy Statement, we will notify you and provide you an opportunity to review before you choose to continue using our Products.

Our use of cookies

Cookies are small encrypted text files that are stored on your device by a website. We use cookies to enhance your shopping experience and to analyse our traffic. We don’t store personal information in the cookies we create, but personal information that we store about you may be linked to the information stored in and obtained from cookies.
