I had a few days off work so I could go to my nieces wedding. Although they are both from Adelaide, Kara and Aaron picked this amazing spot in Caloundra at Kings Beach. While Queensland is often described as beautiful one day and perfect the next! Unfortunately it came in a bit rainly, actually very rainly, so they went to plan B in the beautifully decorated reception hall. It was a wonderful weekend catching up with family and friends, and the wedding went perfectly, Kara was glowing and Aaron looked sharp.
This was my first time in Queensland and I can't wait to travel through this part of the country with Mike and the boys hopefully some time next year.
Hi everyone, we are coming to the end of our time in Darwin and I thought I would update you on what's been going on. We visited Litchfield and it was amazing! The waterfalls were all very different and heaps of fun, Buley rockhole was our favourite. Picturesque walks with cool wild life!
Mike's birthday was in July and it was a lovely day, he and the boys came to my work for the morning, and for the afternoon we all relaxed at the beach with huge icecreams.
We woke very early one morning and headed to Fogg dam where we watched a beautiful sunrise, with the hope of seeing some water pythons, but no such luck.
It was fantastic to see some familar faces when we caught up with Katie, Pete, Jack and Ned, who are on there big driving holiday around some of Australia. We took them to one of our favourite spots, Berry Springs, and the boys had a great time. They saw a small fresh water croc and spent ages tring to get the Archer Fish to spit for some meal worms and crackers. It was closed a few weeks back so they could remove a 1.5m saltwater croc that had given a local a big love bite!! It is a beautiful swimming hole with a great, shady picnic area where we enjoyed lunch together. It was so good to see you guys and we hope you have a safe and fun holiday.
